Fantasy: Tinkerbell and Link

I’m in the process of making two presents for awesome people. One is a tinkerbell watercolor I am doing for a friend I met at one of my conventions. She’s great and does her own artwork that involves pinups and copic markers. She gave me a fabulous holiday gift and I felt I needed to repay the kindness! So here is the WIP.

Tinkerbell

I then have a friend that just got married. I’ve only known her through the internet for almost the past 10 YEARS! I love her a lot and she’s adorable, thus I am making for her this amazing LInk fan art! I’m thinking of adding markers and I’ll probably add some type of joke on “Hey! Listen!” lol

Dragons and Robots

If you saw my previous post, I discussed that as an exercise I had taken up doing quick sketches of little monsters where people had to suggest to me certain things they wanted in the creature for example this one:

opermyds_watermark

Here’s the Criteria:

* she had to be female

* she had to fly/swim

*she had to be fun (i made her more mischievous)

If you want to see more little monsters check them out here. If you’d like to help my creativity by suggesting a monster then please comment below. If you’d like an original to be shipped to you then please email me at keke.illustrations@gmail.com

Taking from my monster series, I became really intrigued by dragons and decided I wanted to draw them, so I figured I’d make them into the same game. The one difference this had to be a dragon, but the rest was all up to imagination. Here are some of the dragons I’ve created. I have created a page as well that I will continuously add my progress on the dragons. It’s under PROJECTS

Here are the dragons:

Just like the monsters if interested in suggesting a dragon, please comment below and I’ll add it to my queue. The dragons will be watercolored, the problem is I haven’t had the time to so far.

And a third series has emerged as well. This one is not so far in its stages but it is also a derivative of the monsters project but with ROBOTS! It has to be a robot and the rest is fair game. here are three I’ve worked on so far

I’m debating on the medium for this so let me know your opinion. I’m leaning towards watercolor/color pencil but maybe you have another idea.

New Projects and DAILY SKETCHES!

I was very sick in the month of January and a lot has happened in February but to keep up here is a beautiful piece I completed for a Book Show. Every artist was given 3 stories to choose from and had to choose one to do an illustration for. I chose CINDERELLA!

CinderellaI have a lot more to show but I will show off these cuties! When the new year started, I got really into making little monsters and I’ve had more fun turning it into a game. so I allow people to give me traits my creature should have (it can be number of eyes, number of legs, what type of color etc) anything they can think up of and I have to put it all together to create a little monster. HERE are the ones I’ve done so far completely inked and colored. I have done more than one daily so I have many more that are on silly scraps of paper lol.

If there is a creature you’d like to see created just comment below (you can say just about anything, there were some really weird requests in a lot of these) and I’ll put it in my queue. YOur monster could be featured on my site!

Look out for more updates and I have other creatures that will be featured!

Zapow!

I’ve been gone for a good month. I had hoped to make a post in October but October was a bit of a roller coaster month. It went from nothing to happening to everything happening.

NEW PAINTINGS!

created 2 new paintings! One the dark crusader: BATMAN and the other the Merc with the Mouth: Deadpool!

TRAVELING!

So in the month of October First I had two different trips: one was to Charlotte, North Carolina for my friend’s sister’s wedding, and the second was a really awesome seminar in Nashville, Tennessee with awesome animators etc, such as Ruben Aquino, Tom Bancroft, and Claire Keane just for few examples.

webposter2_category

Skottie young was not a part of it but we had some other awesome artists it was phenomenal. I learned so much was very much inspired by everyone.

GALLERY ACCEPTANCE!

To add onto that I was accepted into an art Gallery called Zapow in Ashville, North Carolina! My pieces are all up so hopefully they get seen by lots of awesome peeps if you are in Ashville please go take a look! I had to prepare so much stuff for the seminar, for the wedding, for the gallery and had to do my normal everyday job so just a lot of stuff.

CONVENTIONS

On another note I have two conventions;

  • Animate Miami — Miami Airport Convention Center — Nov. 14-16
  • FIU Comic Con — FIU Biscayne Bay Campus (Panther Square) – Nov. 20

Please come check me out if you are in the neighborhood. Also for those following me on any of my social media including this website, I will be doing a giveaway contest for the holidays approaching! Be on the lookout. I’ll probably do it after the FIU Comic con so I have time to get prints ready for whoever the winners are.

I have so much to share but I’ll hold off for later posts!

Down the Rabbit Hole we Go!

Just to explain the tag line. I decided as a fun project for myself to possibly do a small comic of my own take on Alice in Wonderland. The comic I have in mind takes place after the book and she is a young preteen at the age of 11. So I’ve begun doing concept sketches for all the characters. I have the cheshire cat which is based off the first one I created. I have done concept sketches for the Mad Hatter and Alice.

Also I have received a new sketchbook that has black paper which is fabulous! I made the Mad Hatter in the sketchbook with prismacolor pencils! Here are few other Sketches also with prismacolor pencils:

UPDATES!

ok so I went to Tampa Bay Comic Con this past weekend and I had a lot of fun! To all the peeps I met there, you guys were great! I haven’t had my computer this past while since I got a virus but here are some Updates!

I have a few new places where you can keep up with what I’m up to:

Please check them out I also post on Instagram my adorable bird and all my nerd adventures!

I have made a few new paintings and here they are Usagi-chan (Sailor Moon), Shiemi (Blue Exorcist)  and Amaimon (Blue Exorcist)

I will be updating my store soon with all the new items I’ve made. Thanks peeps!

Mephisto from Blue Exorcist

Although I am a fan of anime, I haven’t been able to get into a real good one lately. Finally found one and I love it Blue Exorcist.  The anime seems to be finished but the manga is ongoing. And I have loved all the characters especially Mephisto! I was pretty proud of this painting because instead of canvas I used a hardboard panel and I loved it so much. I really recommend it to anyone who is not a fan of the canvas texture.
