More Little Monsters and the Square show!

For those in the South Florida area, I have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles piece showing at Tate’s Comic Book Store (Lauderhill Location) for the 5th Annual SQUARE SHOW! The show is open until May and there were a lot of other awesome pieces to look at so if you have the chance please check it out!

Also I won’t have a convention until the beginning of April for Miami Hurricon on April 4, 2015. The convention will take place at Miami Airport Convention Center! It’s a very fun anime convention and it’s only $5 to get in!

More little monsters have been created! They will be added to my Monsters page soon.

Some Dark Humor

So I created a long while ago a pair of sisters who were known as “The Nightmare Sisters.” They are a couple of sisters who are mysterious girls that live a top a creepy mountain and love Horror Films. They love horror films so much so that they do a lot of experiments in attempts to recreate things from those movies. For instance Tashi Nightmare, the younger sister, loved “Little Shop of Horrors” so she created her own version of Audrey II who she then appropriately named Audrey III. Audrey III is Tashi’s pet Mutant Venus Flytrap! So for those curious on how you would go about feeding a Pet Mutant Venus Flytrap well here you go:

LEVEL: Unlocked!

So as an illustrator, funny enough I’ve always been very comfortable with traditional media and have had a huge hesitation with the digital world as far as art goes. Funnily enough one program I’ve been incredibly hesitant to use is Illustrator (yes I am an illustrator who’s afraid to use the program Illustrator.) However this semester I have taken a course and have succeeded in abolishing this fear and thus give you this lovely piece: A KOI FISH!

For those who have followed my blog I have created other pieces digitally but none I feel to this degree of AWESOMENESS! It’s one of those times you just want to give yourself a good pat on the back.

Turn “Can do” into “Can did”…

Well I haven’t been able to post anything for a while because there was graduation, then moving out of my apartment, going to a gallery, Free Comic Book Day, and driving back to Miami etc. The title just to share with those who don’t undertsand the reference is from Halls the cough drop candies. Part of their new thing is on the wrappers they have motivational/inspirational stuff to get you through whatever  illness you have. I have to admit they brighten up my day and yes I am sick. Not happy about it but oh well…Anyway I chose this quote because it kind of explains all the stuff I need to do.

I officially graduated on May 3, 2012 and am now an alumni to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fl with a BFA in Studio Art specializing in Illustration. Here is a picture of me and my good friend Lauren Feuerman who graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design.

On Saturday went to Free Comic Book Day with my sister and we got some awesome comics. I got three Collection Comics. Two are the beginning to the Deadpool Vol. 3 series that is written by Daniel Way and drawn by Paco Medina. I have actually most of the series but I never had gotten the beginning so that was my mission on Free Comic Book Day was to get these comics and then the Venom collection comic that caught my eye was due to the fact that it was also written by Daniel Way and drawn by Paco Medina and they’ve made me a fan with the Deadpool comic so obviously had to get that one. Here is a pic of me with my comics:

Don’t I look happy?

My sister got her own set of comics and I have to say was equally as happy:

It’s going to be another few days before I can post again due to the fact that I am still moving back in, my sister’s ceiling caved in so we need to fix that, Mother’s day is just around the corner, and I am giving up my laptop to our computer consultant for a few days because my laptop’s fan hasn’t been working properly and so my computer has been overheating so I need this computer to last me another while. For those who are loyal followers I will still be checking the site to see any comments that come up!

The Forgotten

So I started a few illustrations this past spring semester that I had completely forgotten. I found them while attmepting to put all my work together for my illustration class,  so I decided I would show them. They’re not finished and some will just stay as sketches however I thought I’d share my beautiful pieces.

So just to go through the list: the first one is a mascot for my sister’s and her friend’s small business. Their group is called “Alien and Design.” My sister creates items out of duct tape and her friend makes the chinese staircase bracelets. So I figured an Alien plush doll would be a pretty awesome mascot so these are my concept sketches for him.

The next image is a birthday sketch I started. It was eventually going to have a cake behind her saying Happy Birthday however I didn’t have any time to finish the piece to give it the person on time. However I may finish it for another person’s birthday or as a sweet birthday card to sell as a print.

The fairy is a long story. When I began to learn how to draw back in middle school, I drew in anime style, Suprise, Surprise! But oh well whatever. Anyway I could never redraw my characters even though I drew some pretty awesome ones for that time in my life. This fairy who I’ve named Tombo was my first success in redrawing a character, so he holds a special place in my heart. I’m trying to give him a new look because previously he was in anme style and I don’t feel that style although I still have fun drawing it, doesn’t necessarily describe me as an artist so this is my first attempt and redesigning him but I have trouble drawing people still so its a work in progress. You may see a few designs of him before there is a finished piece. I’ll probably finish him and then try something else.

The last piece I was just proud of which is a quick sketch that I did on my IPAD so yeah its just a generic mermaid.
